Great Substrate! January 21, 2013 Reviewer: Nicole from Richmond, VA United States   I had my crabs for 2 months using the mulch substrate and got tired of cleaning the moldy tank.  I have been using this sand for 4 months now and in the first week one of my crabs molted.  The other crab has molted twice!  The sand is easy to maintain and my crabs love it. Awesome:) December 14, 2012 Reviewer: Cassandra Gomez from Pembroke pines, FL United States   I've had my hermies for just a few short weeks. One was rescued from a carnival and the other 2 from a pet store. I purchased most my products from right here. I just just recently bought the substrate mix and the minute I put in in my small hermies burried deep down. This is awesome and they love it . There much more active since I added the substrate. Pre-Mixed Sand Substrate & Shells October 19, 2012 Reviewer: Ralph and Stacker from Farmingdale, NJ United States   I have had two hermit crabs for about two months.  They have been in a 10 gallon glass fish tank with a lid; they have had salt water, fresh water, a variety of foods, something to climb on and hide in BUT I used the hermit crab sand and coconut fiber for the substrate.  It really was too fine a mixture.  I ordered the pre-mixed sand substrate and new shells and within one hour of installing the new substrate and shells in the tank, one of my hermit crabs moved into a new shell!  The sand is beautiful quality and very clean.  The hermit crabs seems very happy. The Perfect Mix! October 10, 2012 Reviewer: Theresa Sylvia from Westport, MA United States   My new Hermies love it.  I "rescued"  them from a pet shop.  When I put them in their new home with this mix, 1 immediately buried itself, I assume to molt cause I haven't seen him in 3 days!  Very fast shipping and the other products were awesome too!  Will definately buy all my products here. Amazing!!! March 2, 2012 Reviewer: Kenneth Muna from Edwards, CA United States   Well I bought some hermies from a mall kiosk. to tell u the truth i didnt think they did much but after a bit of reading up on them I found out they are alot more intricate than everyone perceives them to be. So I bought a big bag of sand some shells and a ton of other things for my hermies and my hermit girl (properly named "Herminie" like harry potter only crab version) Instantly found a better shell and 2 days later i could not find her in the tank i look everywhere and sure enough i see a gap in the sand through the glass she is molting. Those mall kiosks are soo bad to these little guys im glad i saved my 3. I hope to get a bigger tank some day and buy a ton of these little guys and give them better lives Was this review helpful to you?

Awesome! January 19, 2012 Reviewer: Gillian from McLean, VA United States   This sand is awesome. I got my crab at the beach in August, and put him in a Critter Keeper with calci-sand. He was doing okay, but didn't seem to be really thriving. When my sand arrived, I set him up in a 10-gallon with two bags of pre-mixed sand, and my crab became a lot more active and seemed to enjoy being able to dig into the sand.  Within a week, he changed shells twice, dug four "test holes" and then burrowed down to molt. Awesome!! October 11, 2011 Reviewer: Marta M from Silver Spring, MD United States   i made a sand castle with this sand :)  and my hermit crabs climbed and destroyed it, but this sand is so amazing, my hermits immediately started digging they never molted before with the previous sand i had. and today i got my first molting hermit crab :) I'm so happy with this sand, every hermit crab in a tank should have it! EXCELLENT!!! August 19, 2011 Reviewer: dmc from Bloomingburg, NY United States   This stuff is great .... was using mostly coconut fibers before, but had difficulty maintaining adequate humidity -- either had too little or too much -- musty orders were more frequent -- this product is perfect and so easy.  I, too, am now spoiled .... won't use anything else.  The hermit crabs seem very happy as well.  Thanks! SUBSTRATE AND MORE March 31, 2011 Reviewer: Tamala Hawkins from Greenville, KY United States   This is the by far the the greatest  substrate out there for your crabs. Great quality, reasonable price and since I have put this in my crabitat I dont have anymore problems with the humidity being right. On a scale from 1-10 I give the Hermit Crab Patch a 100 !!!!!!
