Zilla Lizard Litter Terrarium Moss 5 Quart.  This all natural (no dyes) beaked moss bedding is great for hermit crabs to hide in. This is a favorite of our crabs... I've been giving the beaked moss to them for years and they eat it down to practically nothing and absolutely love it!

I was making a moss pit, and was waiting for this to ship. It came with a lot and I really like it. It makes my Crabitat look cool and it has a earthy smell. My crabs love the moss pit, and it really does help with humidity. Like always, highly pleased!

My crabs really like to hang out in this stuff. It helps with my humidity and it makes my tank look nice. There was so much more in the bag than I expected so having extra is always nice.

This moss is really multi-purpose. I can't emphasize how much they love rolling in this stuff. They love nesting in it, it collects a lot of their debris, and it helps in keeping the habitat clean. I've seen one of my giant crabs holding a strand of this and slowly chewing on it. They love to sit in it, bring their snacks to it, and do everything in it! I also found it useful when I wanted to scoop out an old top layer of sand, I would just take a handful of the moss that needed changing and use it to mop up the sand I wanted to remove. Really useful stuff. They love it, and it smells great when its freshly moistened and placed in all their favorite nooks and crannies. A must for a happy crab home :)

My crabs didn't eat, or hide in it at all. its really messy to deal with and it clutters my tank, its coarse and dry, didn't maintain any type of humidity. it did give it a natural jungle look, but my crabs prefer the Hermit crab Patch substrate, the Zoo med substrate, and the organic soil over this product. Sorry

I use moss in my crabitat.  Its wonderful! I have enough humidity from it, and it keeps the empty shells clean and the crabs seem to LOVE to hide under the moss as well!  Must have for the perfect crabitat!
