Zoo Med Mopani Wood Medium Size 10" - 14". This size is recommended for a 20 gallon tank or larger...too large for a 10 gallon tank. Mopani Wood is an African hardwood with a smooth surface, textured detail, and unique mottled color. It is safe for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. Unlike softer woods, Mopani's high resistance to rotting makes it perfect for humid environments.

Ok, when I order online I compare it to what I could of gotten at the pet store. My local pet store sells this item as well but it is not near as good. At the pet sore, you end up paying the same price for a tiny piece of mopani wood. The medium at the pet sore is half the size of this. This is a great value and I love the weight to it. I don't have my hermits yet  but I know they will like it. Great wood but better value. Thanks HCP!

i love it and the hermies love it. i was worried at first because it looked big but its a great size for my 29 gallon. The crabbies didnt touch it the first day but since then they cant get enough of it.

This is a really nice looking type of wood if you are considering placing it in your crabitat.  I also have driftwood, but this mopani wood is by far so much nicer looking because of the deep rich colors and varying light colors. I definitely recommend this piece.  BTW, excellent customer service from THCP. I emailed a question about this particular product and I immediately received a response---and it was during Thanksgiving holiday!!!!!

I am always looking for new pieces of decor to keep things interesting for the hermies. This mopani wood definitely fits the bill! As an added bonus,  I do not have to worry about it getting wet when I spray the tank to increase the humidity (because it is highly resistant to rotting)!
