Small Natural Sea Sponge. Measures approximately 1" - 2" in diameter.  May be moistened with purified water to maintain humidity level in a small crabitat or can be cut in half and placed in each water dish to allow tiny crabs a safe way in and out.  Sponges also contain nutrients such as Chitin and bits of natural shells that crabs will eat and are beneficial for their exoskeleton. As with any natural product, each item is unique, sizes and shapes vary.

The first night I put this in my tank one of my hermit crabs was sitting on top of it for quite awhile. I'll have to upgrade to the medium or large sponge very soon.

Love these sponges.. May 5, 2011

G&L(my little crabbies) love playing with these sponges. Liz always takes the sponge out of one of their water dishes, pushes it into the corner and she will just sit on top of it. Once I got this, she liked it even more than her beach ball sponge (which was a big deal.)

I ordered these sponges for my 10 gal tank and my little crabs just love climbing all over and eating these.  They are the perfect size and are a great price.  Thanks!
