Shape of Opening is Important |

I ordered a variety 10-pack of medium shells for my 5 new hermit crabs. Maybe I should have specified that my crabs had round openings because 6 of the 10 shells were D-shaped or oval & had thin walls. Unfortunately, my crabs won't go near them, even before & after moulting. So far, only one of the shells has been moved in to for more than one night. However, I really enjoyed all the other products I got from this site & plan to order from here in the future.

I dont know what it is about the shells from here, but it seems as if ALL my hermit crabs pick ONLY the shells I get from this site! I got a bunch of other shells from pet stores, and craft stores, and other ones I had before... and they arent too crazy about those, but it seems as soon as I put some of these shells in, they just go right to them.. its like u guys have the mind of a hermit crab and know what kind of shells they are into! I recommend getting shells from these guys, the prices are reasonable, and crabs seem to LOVE these shells!
